These teens in Vietnam wanted a Ferrari badly, but since they only had $100 – they built one themselves out of cardboard.
The model they built is based on the Ferrari FXXK, a track day car that is maintained by Ferrari.
Yes, Ferrari will keep and maintain the car for you, and you can use it during track day events.
Ok so back to the video, I have to say – that is a tremendous amount of effort and dedication. Kudos to them !
In the video above, you can see the entire build from start to finish (although the chassis was already built at the start of the video)
One of the teens can be seen talking about the car, but since the video is in Vietnamese – we can only assume that he’s talking us through the build process.
(Anyone who understands Vietnamese – please feel free to help us translate!)
The cardboard car uses what looks like a bicycle handlebar as a steering wheel, and even has the scissor doors of the original FXXK.
At about the 14:12 mark, the cardboard Ferrari also seems to be powered by a small motorcycle engine? Because it sure sounds like one.
Still, it’s great to see people work hard for what they want.
But, I only have 1 question for these boys – what if it rains?
