The latest 2020 Honda City is now available and you can register your interest on Honda Singapore’s website.
The 5th generation Honda City has a sharper silhouette, improved engine performance and lower emissions. The 2020 Honda City comes in 2 variants – the Honda City 1.5 SV and the 1.5 RS.
Honda City SV and Honda City RS – What’s the difference?
The differences between the SV and the RS is firstly in the pricing. The SV starts from $90,999 while the RS starts from $93,999.
That $3,000 difference doesn’t give you any performance advantage however, as both cars come with the same engine ( 1.5-litre i-VTEC powered by Earth Dreams Technology) producing the same performance figures (121 hp, 145Nm of torque).
Although on Honda’s website the RS has a slightly higher top speed of 199km/h vs the 196km/h on the SV, and does 0-100 in 10.3 seconds vs the 10.4 seconds in the SV.
Perhaps the RS badge is more aerodynamic? 😀
The RS gets a slightly sportier body kit, RS badging on the front grille, rear trunk spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels vs 15-inches on the SV.
The Honda City RS also comes with sporty paddle shifters and a black high-gloss front grille.
Inside, you get rear aircon vents, increase legroom (best in class according to Honda) and 519 litres of boot space.
The Honda City also comes with a 5 star ASEAN NCAP safety rating and 4 airbags, on top of cruise control and ECON mode and ECO assist to help you save fuel.
ECO assist helps you to develop driving habits that maximize fuel efficiency, while ECON mode automatically maximizes efficiency.
Additional features include a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and bluetooth handsfree audio with buttons on the steering wheel.
What do you think of the 2020 Honda City? Yay or nay?
